This coming week is the last full week that residents have to pay their assessments, which must be made on or before January 31st to avoid late fees. Completing your payment will allow you to remain in good standing and retain the use of all pools and parks, as well as hall rental privileges. Do be aware that, after two years without an increase, the Board of Directors has approved a $10 (3.4%) increase to assessment rates, resulting in a final amount of $293. Residents have a variety of payment methods available to them, including a payment plan. The simplest option is to use the FrontSteps portal to pay. If you have not been able to sign up for FrontSteps and would like help doing so, reach out to our office. We may not have an up-to-date email on file for you, which would have precluded the sign-up email being sent to you. Residents who do not want to set up a FrontSteps account may still make a one-time payment through FrontSteps at https://bit.ly/OneTimeFrontSteps. FrontSteps does charge a “transaction fee” or surcharge for payments made online by credit or debit card, amounting to 3.95% of the subtotal. The proceeds from that surcharge do not go to the Great Northwest. Residents who wish to complete a payment in person may bring a money order, debit or credit card, or physical check, along with the assessment statement coupon, into our office. Our business hours are 10 AM to 7 PM, Monday through Friday, in addition to the aforementioned extended hours next Saturday. Paying in person with a debit or credit card will incur an additional surcharge of 2.95%; when paying the full $293, the fee will thus be $8.64, for a total charge of $301.64. The proceeds from this surcharge do not go to the Great Northwest; they are collected by the third-party processor that routes the payment from your bank to ours. After hours, you may deposit a physical check (along with statement coupon) into the dropbox in front of our office. There is no surcharge associated with payments by check or money order. Residents can also pay using the Truist Web site or at a nearby Truist bank location (find one near you here). To contact Truist directly with regards to either of these methods, call their toll-free number at 844-4TRUIST (844-487-8478) between 7 AM and 7 PM CST on weekdays or 7 AM to 4 PM CST on Saturdays. Truist does charge a “convenience fee” or surcharge for payments made online by credit or debit card, amounting to 3.95% of the subtotal. The proceeds from that surcharge do not go to the Great Northwest. For those who make arrangements to pay through a payment plan, this will typically require a $93 down payment followed by 4 payments of $50. These arrangements and a down payment should be made by January 31st. If you have any assessment-related questions, please feel free to give us a call at 210-681-2983 between 10 am and 7 pm, Monday through Friday. |
